OnePlus 16 India Price Tipped at ₹1.4 Lakh: What We Know
The OnePlus 16 India price has just been tipped at a startling ₹1.3 lakh to ₹1.4 lakh, almost double what the OnePlus 15 cost at launch. This is a leak, not an announcement, and OnePlus has not confirmed an India launch date or any pricing. Here is what is being reported, what is known about the hardware from the China launch, and what it could mean if you are planning to buy a flagship.
OnePlus 16 India price: what the leak says
According to a Mashable India report from 2 November 2026, tipster Debayan Roy claims the OnePlus 16R is definitely being developed for India, and the standard OnePlus 16 is also likely to follow. A separate tipster, Abhishek Yadav, pointed to three model numbers, CPH2901, CPH2903 and CPH2905, under which OnePlus is said to be testing global software for the flagship.
The price tips shared in the report, which Mashable also embedded from a TelecomTalk post, look like this:
| Phone | Tipped India price (unconfirmed) |
|---|---|
| OnePlus 16 | ₹1.3 lakh to ₹1.4 lakh |
| OnePlus 16R | ₹75,000 to ₹85,000 (Roy separately said ₹70,000 to ₹75,000) |
For context, Mashable notes the OnePlus 15 launched in India at ₹85,999 and the OnePlus 15R started at ₹47,999. If the leaks are right, the numbered flagship would sit in a much higher bracket than before. Treat every figure as a rumour until OnePlus announces it.
OnePlus 16 specs: the China version
The hardware preview comes from the phone's Chinese launch, which the same report summarises. If India gets the same configuration, you could expect:
- A 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display, with up to 185Hz in compatible games
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset
- A 9,000mAh battery
- 100W wired and 50W wireless charging
- A 200MP main camera, a 50MP 3x telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide
Indian versions of OnePlus phones sometimes differ in battery size or charging speed from the China model, so wait for the official India spec sheet.
OnePlus 16R: less certain
The OnePlus 16R is the more interesting phone for most Indian buyers. Early reports, per Mashable, suggest it may borrow parts from the Ace 7 series sold in China. Tipped features include a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a high-capacity battery and a dedicated telephoto camera. The report itself says leaks disagree on the camera layout and refresh rate, with TelecomTalk's post mentioning a 165Hz display. None of this is confirmed.

When will the OnePlus 16 launch in India?
There is no official date. OnePlus has not announced the phone for India, and the tips so far come from tipsters and model-number sightings. India Today's OnePlus page, as of 2 November, does not list a launch date for a OnePlus 16 either. We will update this page once there is a teaser or date.
Should you wait for the OnePlus 16?
If you are shopping this Diwali, there is no reason to hold out for a phone that has no date. The sale prices on current flagships are strong. For example, India Today reports the Galaxy S25 Ultra near ₹85,000 on Amazon, and we track other offers in our best phone deals for Diwali guide.
Wait only if you specifically want the newest Snapdragon chip and a huge battery, and you are comfortable paying well over a lakh. If the ₹1.4 lakh rumour holds, the OnePlus 16R may end up being the more sensible OnePlus purchase.
