Samsung Galaxy A08 Price in India, Specs and Review
The Samsung Galaxy A08 price in India is ₹18,499 for its only variant, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. According to 91mobiles, the 4G phone launched on October 28, 2026 with a 6,000mAh battery, a MediaTek Helio G99+ chip and an IP64 rating. The big question for buyers is whether the upgrades justify costing ₹5,000 more than the Galaxy A07.
Samsung Galaxy A08 price and availability
The A08 is sold through Samsung's online store, its exclusive stores, authorised retailers and other online platforms. Colours are Dark Blue, Green and Silver. 91mobiles notes that the Galaxy A07 with the same 4GB + 64GB setup currently costs ₹13,499, so the A08 sits ₹5,000 higher.

What is new over the Galaxy A07
The main upgrade is the battery, up from 5,000mAh to 6,000mAh, with 25W charging unchanged. Dust and splash protection improves from IP54 to IP64. Samsung also claims large CPU and GPU gains over the 2024 Galaxy A06. The display and cameras are largely the same as the A07 and A06, which is why the price gap draws criticism.
Performance and daily use
The Helio G99+ is an older but proven chip. With 4GB of LPDDR5 RAM it should handle messaging, UPI payments, YouTube and light browsing without trouble. Heavy multitasking and demanding games are not what this phone is built for, and 4GB of RAM will limit how many apps stay open in the background. The 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage fills up quickly with photos and apps, but the microSD slot, which takes cards up to 2TB, helps, and so does the 3.5mm headphone jack that many new phones have dropped.
Who is it for
Think of parents, first-time smartphone users or anyone who wants a secondary phone that lasts. The 6,000mAh battery should comfortably last a full day of mixed use, and the six-year update promise means the phone can stay secure far longer than most rivals at the price. Samsung's wide service network is another reason some buyers pay extra for the brand.
Software promise
Six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security patches are rare at this price. Someone who wants a phone that stays supported for years may value this more than raw speed.
Where it falls short
This is a 4G phone, with no 5G. The screen is HD+ LCD, not AMOLED, and the camera setup is basic. At about ₹18,500, many 5G phones offer more. Check our best phones under ₹20,000 list before deciding. For slightly more money, see the best phones under ₹30,000.
Should you buy it?
Buy it only if you want a simple phone with long update support, a big battery and dust resistance. If budget matters most, the Galaxy A07 at ₹13,499 does calls, messaging and video much the same way. If you want 5G or an AMOLED screen, look at other options in the segment.
