Honor 700 Pro Leak: 9,000mAh, 200MP and Rear Screen

By Phone Spec Hub · · 3 min read

The Honor 700 Pro has moved a step closer to launch. According to Huawei Central, the Honor 700 series has received China's network certification, with three models lined up: the Honor 700, the Honor 700 Pro and a Vitality Edition. The report says Honor is expected to unveil the lineup this month, though no launch date is official. Most of the details below are leaks and should be treated as unconfirmed.

A rear screen and a teleconverter

The most unusual part is the 1.72-inch rear display. Huawei Central says it is likely placed inside the camera bump, and that it can show notifications and schedules and work as a viewfinder for rear-camera selfies. The lineup is also said to support an external teleconverter, a clip-on lens for more telephoto zoom. The report suggests it could help with concert recording and other distant subjects.

Honor has reportedly hired singer and actress Ju Jingyi as brand ambassador for the series, the report says, citing Mydrivers.

Battery and charging

A 9,000mAh battery is a big number for a flagship-style phone. According to the report, citing CNMO, the Pro would add 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Capacity and speeds have not been confirmed by Honor, and the standard model may get a lesser telephoto lens, as the report puts it.

Will the Honor 700 Pro come to India?

No India plan has been reported. Honor phones have not been officially sold in India for some time under the Honor brand in the sources we checked, so an India launch is not something to expect from this report. Should you wait or buy?

  • If you live in India, do not wait for the Honor 700 Pro. Nothing in the report points to an India release.
  • If you want a 200MP camera and a huge battery, similar specs are tipped for OnePlus phones; see our OnePlus Turbo 7 leak.
  • For a current flagship, the OnePlus 15 is a safer buy during Diwali sales.
