Galaxy S27 Pro Leaked Specs, Price and India Launch
The Galaxy S27 Pro is the most interesting rumour in Samsung's 2027 flagship plans. For the first time, Samsung is said to be adding a fourth model to the Galaxy S line, sitting between the Plus and the Ultra. Everything below comes from leaks and industry reports, not from Samsung, so treat it as unconfirmed until the company speaks. Here is what SamMobile, The Korea Herald and Sammy Fans have reported so far.
What is the Galaxy S27 Pro?
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S27 series is expected to have the base S27, the S27+, the S27 Ultra and a new, tentatively named Galaxy S27 Pro. The Pro reportedly has a smaller screen than the Plus, which made many people assume it would sit below it in features. The latest leaks suggest the opposite: the Pro may borrow a lot from the Ultra.
Samsung itself said in its Q3 earnings call that each Galaxy S27 flagship will have a "distinct" identity, as reported by Sammy Fans. It has not named a Pro model, though.
Galaxy S27 Pro leaked specifications
The table below is based on SamMobile's roundup of rumours. None of it is official.
| Feature | Galaxy S27 Pro (rumoured) |
|---|---|
| Display | 6.47-inch, Privacy Display |
| Rear cameras | 200MP + 50MP ultrawide + 12MP 3x telephoto |
| Selfie camera | 16MP |
| Battery | About 5,200mAh |
| Wired charging | 60W (China 3C listing, per Sammy Fans) |
| Other | UWB, new wide camera housing |
| Launch | January or February 2027 (expected) |
SamMobile itself calls the battery claim the least believable part, because a smaller phone with a bigger battery than the 4,900mAh rumoured for the Plus would be unusual. The 16MP selfie camera, on the other hand, looks close to certain according to the same report.
Privacy Display on the Pro
The Korea Herald, citing UBI Research, says Samsung Display is set to start producing about 7 lakh (700,000) OLED panels with built-in privacy technology for the Pro in November. Both the Pro and the Ultra are said to use the newer M16 OLED materials, while the base and Plus models use older M14 panels without the privacy feature.
Privacy Display debuted on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It limits how visible the screen is from side angles without a separate film, and can be switched on for specific apps or notifications. Getting it on a cheaper Pro would be a big draw.
Galaxy S27 Pro price: what is rumoured
There is no India price yet. The Korea Herald quotes a PhoneArena report that cites tipster Schroedinger, saying the Galaxy S27 Pro could start at $1,399, just $100 below the Ultra at $1,499, with the S27 at $999 and S27+ at $1,199. That is a US price tip, not an Indian one, and it is unconfirmed.
Samsung has also raised Galaxy S26 prices because of higher memory costs, the Korea Herald notes, with more increases expected for the S27 line. Expect Indian pricing to follow the same upward trend, but no number has leaked.
Galaxy S27 Pro India launch date
Samsung has not announced a date. The S25 series arrived in late January 2025 and the S26 series in late February 2026, and Sammy Fans expects January or February 2027 for the S27 line. India launches usually happen the same day as the global event.
Should you wait for the Galaxy S27 Pro?
If you want a Samsung flagship right now, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the current top model, and prices on the older Galaxy S25 Ultra have been falling in sale season. Check our best phone deals this Diwali before deciding.
Wait only if you want a compact flagship with the Ultra-style camera and Privacy Display, and can hold off until February or later. With memory costs rising, the S27 range may well cost more than its predecessors.
