What is new over the Moto G47
The battery grows from 5,200mAh to 7,000mAh and charging rises from 20W to 30W. Motorola claims up to 78 hours of use per charge. The trade-off is weight: 215g and 8.89mm thick, compared with 191g and 7.9mm on the G47. Display, chipset and cameras are largely unchanged.
Battery and design
Motorola says the phone can last up to 78 hours per charge, though real use will vary. It keeps a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, NFC and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Gorilla Glass 7i protects the display, which reaches 1,050 nits in high brightness mode. Colours are Pantone Nautical Blue, Pantone Capri and Pantone Impenetrable, per GSMArena.
Camera
The 108MP main camera has an f/1.7 aperture and, according to PhoneArena, offers 3x lossless zoom. A 2MP macro sensor and an 8MP selfie camera complete the setup. With only a basic 2MP second sensor, expect it to shine mainly in good daylight.
Concerns
The HD+ LCD and 4GB RAM look modest at the European price, and it ships with Android 16 although Android 17 is out, as GSMArena points out. An Indian price would need to be much lower to be competitive.
