Lava price hike from Nov 15: Buy now or pay ₹3,000 more

By Phone Spec Hub · · 4 min read

The Lava price hike is now official: the Indian brand says its smartphones will cost up to ₹3,000 more across the country from 15 November 2026. If you were eyeing a Lava phone this festive season, you have a short window left. Here is everything that is confirmed, what Lava has not told us yet, and how to decide.

What Lava has announced

According to 91mobiles and GSMArena, Lava issued a statement saying ongoing memory shortages have made a price revision of up to ₹3,000 necessary across its smartphone portfolio, effective 15 November 2026. The revision applies to online partner platforms and offline retail outlets alike.

Lava also nudged shoppers to use current offers. Its statement said the phones are available at festive prices on leading e-commerce platforms and in stores, and encouraged customers to buy before the change takes effect.

Unlike many rivals that raised prices without warning, Lava gave buyers roughly two weeks of notice, a point India Today highlighted.

What is still unknown

Lava has not said which models will rise by how much. "Up to ₹3,000" means some phones may go up by far less, and cheaper models are unlikely to rise by the full amount. Until Lava publishes revised prices, treat any specific post-hike figure you see online as a guess.

Why phone prices keep rising

The cause is memory. 91mobiles notes that DRAM and NAND flash have become costlier because AI data centres are absorbing supply, and memory is a large share of a phone's cost, especially in budget and mid-range models. Realme, OPPO and Vivo have already raised prices on almost all models, and Samsung and OnePlus have made multiple adjustments in recent months, per the same report.

Which Lava phones to look at

Lava's older models in our database, such as the Lava Agni 2 5G and the Lava Blaze 5G, show how the brand has priced mid-range and budget phones. If you are shopping on a tight budget, also see our guide to the best phones under ₹20,000 to compare Lava against other brands at today's prices.

What this means for budget buyers

Lava mostly sells in the budget and mid-range bands, where memory makes up the largest share of a phone's cost. That is why a company known for aggressive pricing is now raising rates. If your budget is tight, even a ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 rise could push a phone into a different price bracket, so lock in your choice early and check bank offers at checkout.

Should you buy now or wait?

Buy now if you have already shortlisted a Lava phone and the current festive price fits your budget. The hike is confirmed, the direction is up, and 91mobiles notes that memory costs are expected to stay elevated, so waiting is unlikely to bring prices down.

Wait only if you have not decided. Compare the actual sale price with the regular price before paying, since 91mobiles advises that real savings depend on the model and the offer. Do not rush into a phone you do not need just because of a deadline.

Remember the date itself: the new prices apply from 15 November, so check the listing on the day you buy. Offers can also end before the deadline if stock runs out.

FAQ

When does the Lava price hike start? From 15 November 2026, according to Lava's statement reported by GSMArena and 91mobiles.

How much will Lava phones cost more? Up to ₹3,000. Lava has not shared model-wise increases, so the rise on any single phone may be smaller.

Why is Lava raising prices? The company cites ongoing memory shortages. Rising DRAM and NAND costs are also pushing other brands to raise prices.

Will other brands raise prices too? 91mobiles reports that more makers could revise prices in the coming months because memory costs are expected to stay high. Nothing further is confirmed.
