Galaxy S27 Ultra battery leak: 5,700mAh and 60W
The Galaxy S27 Ultra battery is the biggest talking point around Samsung's next flagship. According to SammyGuru's leak tracker, updated this week, China's 3C certification lists the cell at a rated 5,534mAh, which works out to roughly 5,700mAh typical. If that holds, it would end a long run of 5,000mAh Ultra phones. None of this is confirmed by Samsung.
Here is every claim worth knowing, clearly marked as a leak, and what it means for buyers in India.

A bigger battery after seven generations
SammyGuru notes that Samsung's Ultra flagships have carried a 5,000mAh cell for seven generations in a row. The 3C listing suggests about a 700mAh jump over the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung is expected to get there with silicon-carbon cells, the same technology the site says it already uses in its 2026 foldables. India's BIS has also certified the battery, which is a normal step before launch, though the listing does not reveal capacity.
One leak even claims Samsung tested prototypes without the S Pen to fit a larger battery. The final phone is still expected to keep the S Pen.
Charging, display and cameras
Wired charging stays at 60W, the same as the current Galaxy S26 Ultra. Wireless speed may remain 25W.
The display is rumoured to be a 6.89-inch panel using Samsung's M16 OLED, reportedly reaching up to 165Hz and 10,000 nits peak brightness. Privacy Display is expected to stay.
On cameras, a tipster says the 3x telephoto goes away while the 5x periscope stays, and the main sensor could become a customised 200MP unit. A new 16MP selfie camera is also tipped. Treat these as early rumours.
Exynos or Snapdragon?
The chip is still undecided. SammyGuru says Samsung has been testing both, but a Korean leaker now claims the Ultra will use Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in every market, while the Exynos 2700 goes to the other S27 models. Samsung has not confirmed anything.
Should you wait for the S27 Ultra?
Wait if battery life is your main complaint and you can hold on until early 2027. The expected capacity jump is genuine, and it comes from a certification listing rather than just a tipster.
Buy now if you need a phone this festive season. The Galaxy S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra are both discounted for Diwali, and we track those prices in our Diwali deals guide. Expect the S27 Ultra to cost more than either, since Samsung has announced no price.
